Who doesn’t know Taylor? Even if you’re not a fan, you must have listened to 'Love Story' once or twice in life. Let’s see what a fan thinks of her creation!

I probably first found out that a singer named Taylor Swift exists out there singing love songs with all her fantasies, when my bestfriend sent me the famous 'Love Story' soundtrack in a pen-drive. At that time, internet was not available at my home. So it was not easy to explore different musicians and find the right one for you. It was around 2012 when they thought the world is going to end soon. Well, the world did not end - thanks to the Almighty, but my music fandom took a whole new turn. I noticed the lyrics first. "Woah, that’s a really cool way of expressing the digital version of Romeo-Juliet story". "Well, the girl is too pretty for a singer though. What’s her name again? Taylor”. and voila! Her name, the lyrics, the vibe she created with the song, have lasted in my mind for years now.

After 'Love Story’, I had got the chance to enjoy the rebellious creations of her. I was in my teenage days filled with love and misery. Taylor’s first album 'Taylor Swift' had this song called "Teardrops on my guitar". This song is about the one sided love of a girl for a boy she meets regularly. It felt like she was singing about me! Is not that one of her many talents? She portrays her fans' real life struggles through her songs.

All of her song lyrics — she writes from her own life experiences!

As I found 'Love Story' at the first place, I searched for more of her songs from the same album, which is exactly her second album 'Fearless'. I loved 'You belong with me' too. This time it was also about a girl's one sided love which turns true at last. Well, at least that's what the music video says. It sounds like a sequel to 'Teardrops on my guitar', right?

Her third album 'Speak Now' contains the song I have listened to the most number of times. The name is "Back to December". I still do not know what I had found so attaching with this song that I could never, for once in my life, say that it sounded boring to me. It was about the girl losing a boy when he was into her. She rejected him in December. Now she always goes back to the time, only to make things right if possible. Another song I and my sister both love is "Mean". Probably Taylor wrote it about her school bullies. How the bullies are ignorant and foolish and how Taylor is going to be someone successful in the future was portrayed in this song the best way possible. This song is more like a motivation than a song to me.

In the later years, I was more into Taylor’s songs than I was ever before. Her fifth album '1989’, named after her birth year contained pop songs like Blank space, Style, Shake it off, Wildest dreams and Bad blood. Each of these have like billions of views in the YouTube, also the album itself was a huge success for Taylor. At this period, I got interested in her personal life and got to know that all her song lyrics she writes from her own life experiences. I believe, you can imagine how much my interest increased after this!

After a break from media, dealing with criticizes and personal life problems, she came up with a new album 'Reputation’. Frankly speaking, this album was totally different from the others. At first, I was a little disappointed at the bad girl appearance she made here, but it took me a little time to understand this album was actually a comeback from all she has been through. Now I actually feel guilty for even judging her back then. But still, I LOVE two songs from this album. 'Gorgeous' is about a sweet first meeting with someone gorgeous in Taylor’s eyes (Joe Alwyn). 'Look what you made me do' is about a personal problem she had with a celebrity, but it feels so personal to me, as the song sounds like a comeback motivation every time I listen to it :’)

‘I once thought love would be burning red, but its golden' indicates that she has found a different meaning of love

Now comes my most favorite album of all time: 'Lover’. This is a romantic album mostly about Taylor’s now boyfriend Joe Alwyn. The songs are about the first meetings, the memories she has made and how it is to be the lover. In this album, my most favorite song is 'Daylight’. The song has a phrase saying 'I once thought love would be burning red, but its golden' indicates that she has found a different meaning of love. With her 'Lover' album, so did I. It is my dream to keep the album in my wedding playlist ❤️

During the quarantine, Taylor dropped a bomb named 'Folklore’, her first indie-folk album. Well, by bomb I did not really mean it is full of rock vibes, but Swifties went awe when she came up with this album in the middle of a pandemic like the rain comes out of the dark clouds and soothes your tired soul. 'Exile' and 'Cardigan' are my two favorites from this album. Betty, August and Cardigan - these three songs are part of a story where the girl named Betty is cheated on by her Boyfriend James. James has spent the whole summer with another girl, being jealous of seeing Betty with another boy. The song Betty is from James’s perspective, Cardigan is from Betty’s perspective and 'August' is from the other girl’s perspective of this incident. Amaaazing, right? That is how detailed Taylor is with her songs!

'No body no crime' tells a revenge story where the singer’s close friend Este is killed by her cheating husband

'Evermore' is the recent and last album yet that is also the sister album of 'Folklore’. Which means, it is also full of heart-healing indie folks. The release of this album was like a brief moment in our life where it feels like probably we have found the path of eternal peace! The songs 'Willow’, 'Evermore’, 'No body no crime' are my three favorites. 'Willow' and 'Evermore' are soft soothing songs perfect for a gloomy winter weather. 'No body no crime' tells a revenge story where the singer’s close friend Este is killed by her cheating husband. So the singer kills him to take the revenge for her beloved friend. Listening this song is a must to get a whole thriller movie vibe only in a few minutes. Wondering how? Here’s a link to the song -

Being a Swiftie, it is really a challenge to express how much we love Taylor and her songs, but I have tried my best to. However, once you get spelled by Taylor, you always have a lot more to tell 😉
